Version 1.04 of the OSOS application was released for testing on the OSOS demo site. The version of the code will be implemented in Consortium States over the next 4-5 weeks.

March 19, 2001
Version 1.03 of the OSOS application was released to States today. This new version of the code will be integrated into production in the States of New Jersey and New York. Kentucky and Nevada will accept this build of the application in their test, development and pilot sites.

January 16, 2001
On Tuesday January 16th the State of NJ begin using version 1.02 of the OSOS System. The application is scheduled to roll out across the entire state over the next 4 weeks.

November 6, 2000
On Monday Nov 6th the NY DOL officially began using a production version of the OSOS system, statewide, in its Division of Employment Service offices. Within the next few weeks it is expected that 900 concurrent users will begin using OSOS to perform labor exchange duties. A schedule has been developed, and a plan is in place to begin the conversion of Local Workforce Investment Area legacy data. It is planned that legacy data conversion for local partners will be completed 1st quarter 2001.

The Hawaii Workforce Development Division announced today that the One Stop Operating System (OSOS) supported by the United States Department of Labor will be implemented statewide to meet the requirements of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). After several months of searching and examining numerous automated systems, OSOS was chosen because it most closely meets the needs of the citizens of Hawaii.
Work with the software developer - the America's Job Bank Service Center (AJBSC) - and their subcontractors has already begun so that implementation of an automated one-stop system shared by state and local partners will become a reality.

The updated data model of the OSOS system was made available to the four committed OSOS states (NY, NJ, KY and NV) as scheduled, for state testing.

The Job Order Module of the OSOS system was made available to the four committed OSOS states (NY, NJ, KY and NV) on March 9, 2000 as scheduled for state testing. Testing of the OSOS system is limited to the committed states due to hardware limitations and the need for control of the quality assurance process. AJBSC does plan on providing access to the test system to states who commit to a hosted version of OSOS.

Bruce Eanet, United States Department of Labor, advised AJBSC on February 6th, that the President's 2001 budget, announced on February 7th, contains $3 million for OSOS.
